FEA: Olivia

Olivia is my crit queen and forever MVP and also waifu. I actually made this and wore it to Metrocon earlier this year, but I wasn't quite finished or satisfied with it, hence why you're getting pics now. 

The white parts of the costume are ponte knit lined with venetian lace. The black parts were some sheer dance costume fabric; I can't remember what it was actually called. The sewing for this was pretty straightforward, but I had to redo the shirt twice because wtf is this thing. I also made the shirt a tiny bit longer in the back than is accurate, just so that it would be more appropriate for wearing in public. 

The gold cuffs were all made using cheap plastic cups from the dollar store, with details added using craft foam and mod podge hard finish. The belts and neckpiece were craftfoam; I skipped sintra this time because I wanted them to be more flexible. I originally had a nice gold ring for the front of the shirt, but I lost it at some point during the move into my new apartment, so I used a goldish hair tie for the con like a dope.
